New Years Eve & Day Outfits

As the holiday season comes close to an end, we still have one more thing to celebrate - the new year of 2016! In the same spirit as we did with our "Holiday Party Outfits," we wanted to give you all outfit inspirations for for this upcoming holiday. Along with some inspiration for our male viewers!

Every holiday season, red, metallics, and anything sparkly are the ways to go. For this year, I particularly wanted to focus on the colors gold and red, not only because I love the two colors and think that they are very festive colors, but also through years of superstition and tradition, I do believe that red brings in good luck, while gold brings good wealth, for the upcoming year. This is the same for polka dots (even though I did not include an outfit with polka dots), so I'd also recommend incorporating some polka dots in your outfit for that good luck.
Going along with my superstitious and traditional ways, the color blue is not only a classic go-to color for any occasion, but it is said that it brings in tranquility and wealth. A good friend of mine had been expressing his appreciation for the leather band on watches, so I wanted to feature his watch on this post and recommend it to you all.

For my outfits for New Years Eve I always try and make sure I have a little sparkle as the night is always filled with fireworks and dancing. I also wanted to include some of my new favorite statement pieces which are: waistcoats (white vest picture below), chunky wedges, classic leather jacket, and big statement necklaces. As Nicole mentioned above, red is said to bring love and gold is supposed to bring wealth for the new year, so keep those in mind when picking outfits!

I recently started following some male fashion bloggers on Instagram, and noticed that a lot of them have been wearing turtlenecks so I wanted to include an outfit with one so you can all try it out as well! I also have two older brothers who I often get inspiration from when choosing outfits for guys, so since they are both obsessed with sneakers I had to make sure I included some Air Max's. For the guys I like to keep it simple and neutral, but if you want to include a pop of color, I love that too!
